DITTYImprove your speaking ability in a minute a day. Practising impromptu speaking on a regular basis, even for a minute a day can help improve your speaking skills. Subscribe to the DITTY service where you receive two topics a day during weekdays (so you can practise with someone else, should you wish) on a wide variety of subjects, along with suggested techniques for practising. The DITTY service is based on a Dale Carnegie principle. It is also of benefit to Toastmasters for Table Topics practise.
Sample topics include: Do you think there are life forms on other planets? Where is your ideal place for a holiday? Are women treated differently to men in work when it comes to promotion? What’s your favourite book? Is 65 a good age to retire? The main purpose newspapers exist is… Look out of the nearest window and describe what the view would have looked like 100 years ago
