Let's give a presentation using PowerPointDo you get fed up of people listening with interest to your presentations? Want to make sure they are bored, uninterested and go away with little more knowledge or information than they came with? Don’t bother spending any time planning or preparing your PowerPoint presentation. Instead open up PowerPoint and start typing the first thing that comes into your head Make sure you have lots of slides that all look the same Use lots and lots of bullet points Cram in as many words as you can onto each slide WRITE IN CAPITALS. PEOPLE LIKE TO FEEL THEY ARE BEING SHOUTED AT Don’t include any visuals. People may find them interesting or easier to understand Make the font size really small Don’t bother being consistent. Use lots of different fonts. Sometimes use full stops at the end of phrases, and sometimes don’t. Sometimes use capitals at the start of phrases, and sometimes don’t. Change the font size regularly. Use lots of different animations so that words come in from a different direction each time Use highly complex charts and diagrams Don’t bohetr to use the spel cheker Underline phrases so can you trick people into thinking it’s a hyperlink Don’t waste time practising your presentation. It’s so much more fun when you don’t know which slide is coming up next When you give your presentation, stand facing the white screen and read out every word And read it out in a monotone voice And remember to avoid having any eye contact with the audience Make sure you don’t have a back up plan for using PowerPoint. Technology always works
There, that should do the trick.
