Impromptu speaking practice service: DITTYImprove your speaking ability in a minute a day. Practicing impromptu speaking on a regular basis, even for a minute a day can help improve your speaking skills. Subscribe to the DITTY service where you receive: a) two topics a day during weekdays (so you can practice with someone else, should you wish) on a wide variety of subjects; b) a weekly speaking tip; c) suggested techniques for practicing. The DITTY service is based on a Dale Carnegie principle and has been operating since 2002, providing thousands of topics to people world wide. It is also of benefit to speaking organisations such as Toastmasters for Table Topics practice. SAMPLE TOPICS INCLUDE: Are women treated differently to men in work when it comes to promotion? Is 65 a good age to retire? Do you think there are life forms on other planets? Not only to develop my speech writing and public speaking skills, but building my confidence and self-esteem as well." Mitchell Chapman "I would like to say how much I enjoy the daily DITTYs, they provoke lots of discussion here at work and at home or even just some interesting thoughts for myself." Fiona Henderson "Thank you for your daily DITTYs. They are certainly helping to develop my thoughts on many things." S.S. "Thanks for the prompting, have helped me to develop to a higher level."
